Been here a bunch of times, mostly for the Fri night fish fry. Food is typically pretty decent. It's usually pretty crowded so it takes a while. Everybody knows this. Tonight was really bad tho. It wasn't that busy at 6:00 but getting drinks and dinner took forever. Also, one of our dinners was incomplete, there were no napkins or tartar sauce on the table and we didn't get any until we were 1/2 way through. Plus there were flies all over the patio. Really annoying. We'll probably go back because it's one of our "places" but tonight sucked.

Being the closest option around, I have given them far more chances than needed. Few things noticed. 1) consistently poor service, sometimes not the individual server’s fault but owner/manager severely understaffing. If there is enough, the waiter was bad. Bar/booze sales took priority. 2) the food is not as consistent as the poor service. Example, chicken fingers ordered half dozen times, got the same taste/make up about 2 times, fine, moving on.3) fries, back to something consistent. They are cold/soggy. 4) Don’t go there in hurry. Repeat #1.

Great food and great atmosphere!

Didn’t take our order for at least 20 mins. Food took almost an hour for a chef salad and order of chicken strips with Tater tots and all was fair at best. The meat on the salad ( bacon and ham) was very skimpy, as well as the other ingredients on it. Very disappointed and unless I’m just coming for beers in the beer garden (which is nice and relaxing) I will not come back for the food. Also 2 other parties came after us , ate and left before we even got our food. The only reason I’m giving it any star at all was the beer garden. The music was fair. Could be better.

We went for the all you can eat fish special. The Fish was fried PERFECTLY! You get such big pieces of fish that one plate is all you can eat. I do wish potato salad was an option as a side. Great place we eat here often.

Arrived at 5:45 on a Saturday night. Good crowd, but not packed inside or out. Got our first round of drinks while standing and talking to friends in the bar area. Took awhile to get a second round or to place our order. Food was good, but it took FOR ...EV...ER to get to the table!!!!!

Went to green Gables to eat last night they were packed so went to lake road inn, ordered a hamburger and fries the food came out 40 minutes later the fries were soggy and cold along with the burger. I told the bartender the issue all he did was take it back and microwave it never again will I eat there

Stopped in on a road trip with the family. Absolutely amazing place!!! Delicious food and just am all around great atmosphere!!!

Got no refills. Ordered a large pizza waited a long time. She brings small pizza says they dont have larges. She definately could have told us that. Mushrooms were over done.

When we I visited the Lake Road Inn, they were having staffing issues. I don't know if that's usually the case, but we had to wait an hour for our food. We all ordered the fish special and had to swipe silverware and tartar sauce off of other tables because it became pretty clear we weren't going to get them any other way. After I got over being hangry, it was almost comical.The fish was pretty tasty and the beer garden was very relaxing. The staff was quick with drinks. I might go back for the fish special (Fridays), but will have to see if the place is fully staffed first. Otherwise, it might be quicker to rent a boat, catch a fish, clean it and fry it myself.

The wait staff was terribly overworked. Some of the canned beer brands had run out. The fish fry - which is WHY we came in the first place, was only so so. Did management ever think about planning for a Friday night? So, yeah...only meh.

Went for the Friday night fish fry... Our table of 6 was seated pretty fast & server took our orders quickly, but we waited 30+ min for our dinner. Walleye was pretty good. With the potato, slaw & Roll the all you can eat fish was a great value at $9.99. All in all I was pleased, but wished we were served quicker, especially since we all ordered the special.

All you can eat Walleye was deliscious!!! Cole slaw was the best!!! It was not tangy or did it taste like vinegar. This was my first time here. Will be back! And service was great!

I came here with my friends for dinner, and not only was the lady who took our order rude and acted as if we were an inconvinence to her, but we waited an hour for our food that never came. Pretty sure she never even placed our order. She didn’t come to our table for 45mins after she had given us our drinks. We ended up leaving and didn’t even get our food.

The location and building were awesome! I did enjoy my first time visiting with family.. But the server seemed uptight and grumpy which was a turn off.. I also ordered the ribeye dinner.. $16.00 .. it was the toughest meat I've ever ate, and the way it was cut was not ribeye.. I'm confident I wasn't served a ribeye. Very dissatisfied in the food for the price I paid. I will return because I loved the drive, but will go for chicken tenders next time. I stole some of the homemade chips from my son's meal and loved them and mad for not getting them with my meal, and that I ordered fries instead.It was also my birthday when I visited.. And I wanted to see about dessert.. But between servers bad attitude and high prices for so so food, skipped out.

Great dinner, AYCE Alaskan Pollock & Ribeye

A good place to eat and drink. Fairly priced. They changed the wings and raised the price slightly. The new Sunday special wings are not as good. The overall menu is still good. The location is a bit remote which in my opinion makes it even better for local traveling and motorcyclists.
